Botero suspension 10/11/1999 Temporary suspension ID 911
Botero's team prevented him from starting the 1999 Vuelta a Espana after he recorded levels of testosterone in excess of the already high figure for which he had an exemption from the UCI. He was sanctioned with a six-month suspension.
