Thurau positive #2 22/06/1980 Positive test ID 443
After the West German championship, Thurau tested positive for amphetamine and, though he was not a smoker, nicotine. The latter substance indicated the urine of a third party and therefore procedural foulplay. Thurau went unpunished.
